OK, I confess. I was not always a fan of Aldi. Sue consistently reminded me of the savings we consistently experienced, but it was a different experience.
Loaning $.25 to them while I shopped to get a cart (and return it*), bagging my own groceries and what I still consider the impersonal robotic like personalities of the employees. Hey, letâs face it. I grew up on Publix - where shopping is a pleasure.
In the next few weeks, I hope to share the benefits you can use to make Aldi your new way of life for grocery shopping.
Benefit #1
Although Aldi does not accept competitor or manufacturerâs coupons, using free apps like Fetch, Coin Out, Receipt Pal and Receipt Hog allow you to scan your receipt and accumulate a balance that you can convert to cash or gift cards.
This habit will not make you rich, but you can scan each receipt on all 4 platforms.
My average savings has been about $150 per year on each of the 4 platforms.
Word to the wise .. take the time to scan your receipts when you bring your groceries home and re-stock your shelves. These platforms have a specified time (in days) that they will honor your receipts.
I hope this tip will bring you much success.
Here are the links to add 3 out of the 4 apps I mentioned above:
Fetch

Receipt Hog
Download and enter code kok97761 to earn a special bonus when you upload your first receipt. https://app.receipthog.com/r/kok97761
These platforms accept receipts from ALL vendors, not just Aldi. They also accept e-receipts that bypass the need to scan a physical receipt.
