From the small-town roots of Fannin, Mississippi, to the grand stages of Europe and the Middle East, John Christopher Adams is a performer who’s hard to label—and even harder to ignore. He moves easily between opera, jazz, gospel, and musical theatre, and audiences have heard him on some of the grandest stages in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Israel, as well as in American cultural hubs like Chicago, Houston, and Seattle.
His artistry was honed through advanced degrees in Vocal Performance and Opera from the University of Cincinnati–College Conservatory of Music (CCM) and Mississippi Christian University, where he’s currently also pursuing a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy.
When he isn’t performing, he serves as Executive Director of Opera Mississippi and CEO of the John C. Adams State Farm Agency in Gadsden, Alabama.
