Press Release Update – Structure Collapse on June 17, 2026

On June 17, 2026, the Fulton Fire Department responded to a reported structure collapse. Upon arrival, crews found that a portion of a privately owned building had collapsed. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The property owners are currently working to secure a structural engineer to conduct a detailed assessment of the building and determine the cause of the collapse.

For public safety, the 500 block of Nichols Street will remain closed throughout the weekend. We ask the public to avoid the area and refrain from crossing any barrier tape.
