Annual Notice of Change

The Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) is a document that Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D prescription drug plans are required to send to their members each year, typically by September 30.
What is in the ANOC?
The ANOC outlines any changes to your health plan that will take effect in the next calendar year. These changes might include:
Premiums (monthly cost of your plan)
Copayments/Coinsurance (your share of medical costs)
Deductibles
Drug coverage (including which medications are covered and at what tier)
Provider networks (doctors or hospitals that are in-network)
Benefits or services offered

Why is it important to review the ANOC?

Reviewing your ANOC is crucial because:
Your costs might increase: Premiums, deductibles, or copays may change, affecting how much you pay out of pocket.
Your coverage might change: Your current medications might no longer be covered or could move to a higher-cost tier.
Doctors and hospitals may change: A provider you currently see may no longer be in-network.
Plan benefits can be added or removed: Some extra benefits (like dental, vision, or fitness programs) might change or disappear.
