We had the opportunity to host a small group of Medicare agencies at the NAIS Corporate Center last week for a roundtable discussion with Molina Healthcare focused on the dual-eligible market and FIDE D-SNP plans.

These smaller meetings are always helpful because they give agencies time to ask questions and understand how these plans actually work for the dual-eligible population.

Here were 5 takeaways from the discussion:
1. FIDE D-SNP plans integrate Medicare and Medicaid into one coordinated plan

2. Many full dual members have $0 premium and $0 PCP/specialist visits

3. Benefits like OTC, food, transportation, and meals play a big role in retention

4. The dual-eligible population continues to grow and requires a different strategy

5. Agencies that understand DSNP positioning tend to build stronger Medicare books
