Senior walk ✔️

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to walk alongside my daughter as she visited her elementary and middle schools one last time before graduation.

As a parent, these moments remind you how quickly time passes.

As a business owner, they remind you why flexibility matters.

One of the greatest gifts of building my own practice has been the ability to be present for life's important milestones. Not because I work less, but because I've intentionally built a career that allows me to prioritize both my family and the people I serve.

At the same time, this season reminds me that many employees are navigating these same milestones with their families while balancing work responsibilities, college planning, financial decisions, and everything else that comes with graduation season.

That's why I'm passionate about helping employers provide financial education and resources that support their employees through life's major transitions.

Whether it's preparing for college expenses, understanding employee benefits, or building long-term financial confidence, education can make a meaningful difference.

One minute they’re graduating kindergarten…

…and before you know it, it’s senior year.

As a parent, this season has reminded me how quickly time moves and how important it is to start planning earlier than we think.

Many families spend years helping their children prepare academically for college, but very few understand how financial decisions today may impact future college funding opportunities later.

For business owners and families especially, planning matters.

Some areas families often overlook:
• How savings are structured
• Ownership of assets
• Timing of financial decisions
• Cash flow vs. reported income
• Long-term education funding strategies

Every family’s situation is different, but learning about these concepts earlier may help create more flexibility and reduce financial stress down the road.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned through this journey is this:

Preparation is not just about getting into college.
It’s also about understanding how to prepare financially for the journey ahead.

It’s the week before graduation, and as a first-generation mom, this moment means more than I can fully put into words.

Watching my daughter get accepted into every school she applied to was a proud reminder that preparation, support, and opportunity can truly change a family’s future.

But through this journey, I also realized something important:

Many families are trying to navigate college planning, financial aid, education costs, and long-term financial decisions without clear guidance.

Most parents focus on getting their child into college.
Very few are taught how to prepare financially for it.
