Maddi Martinez - Photography Intern at Family Tree Farms

This summer, I’ve had the opportunity to intern with the marketing team at Family Tree Farms, where I’ve captured product, packaging, and lifestyle photography while helping bring the brand’s story to life through a lens. It’s been an incredible hands-on experience that has helped me grow both creatively and professionally.

One of the best parts has been learning about the fruit and produce side of agriculture. Coming from a slightly different agricultural background, it’s been amazing to see everything that goes into growing, marketing, and shipping fruit around the world. Working with such an amazing team has made this experience even more rewarding, and I’m so blessed to be part of a company that is so passionate about what they do.

Sydney Pierce - Maddi Institute Intern

This summer, I interned with the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), where I gained valuable experience supporting both the legal and operational aspects of the organization. On the legal side, I assisted with reviewing and ensuring compliance for marketing materials, helping them align with applicable policies and regulations. I also contributed to the operations team by supporting the planning and coordination of county fairs, assisting with organizational tasks and event logistics. This internship strengthened my understanding of government operations, legal compliance, and event planning while allowing me to develop strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills in a professional setting.

Bailey Mistretta - Wawona Frozen Foods Intern

This summer, I had the opportunity to intern with Wawona Frozen Foods as a Research & Development and Marketing Intern. On the Research & Development side, my responsibilities included developing and sampling formulations for new products, conducting product testing, and evaluating quality and performance to ensure products met customer expectations and requirements.

On the Marketing side, I supported industry outreach efforts, assisted with the creation of graphics and content for social media, and helped
