Last week there was a tornado that had touched down in Dexter Michigan. The following is a portion of a letter that Bill Walrath Farmers Michigan State Exec wrote the following morning:
Team, We awoke this morning to a trail of devastation in Dexter, MI. A tornado consisting of up to 140 mile per hour winds hit the small community. Farmers was immediately on this starting with the CAT Logistics team working through the night mapping insured locations and claims. I headed immediately this morning to a total loss claim. Our insured, Mr. White already had money wired into his account last evening. We met and I walked him through the wreckage. A man with a super positive spirit. He knows we will walk him through this. He spoke very highly of Farmers. Our adjuster arrived and helped him pull his valuables from the house, digging in the basement...simply going above and beyond. While this was going on we had the State Office team walk the neighborhood and shake hands with our customers making sure they were taken care of. Mr. White said to the TV crew "there is like 23 Farmers people helping me out." We then set up Operation BBQ with the help of the Salvation Army are hand delivering meals to the neighborhood. Will serve 250 plus meals each day. We are here and because we care. We are proud of our Company because this is who we are. We will be here through the weekend. We are Farmers!!!!!
