I thought this was really sweet.

When most people think of the fair, they picture the rides, food, and grandstand entertainment. But the heart of the fair can be found in the barns.

For months, local youth have been caring for livestock, perfecting projects, and learning responsibility, dedication, and hard work. Fair week is their chance to showcase everything they’ve accomplished.

While you’re at the fair, we encourage you to visit the livestock barns and exhibit buildings. You might leave with a new appreciation for local agriculture and the incredible young people who help keep it thriving! It’s an experience you simply won’t find anywhere else.
