Branch Manager, CMG Financial, Branch NMLS ID #2603292 He found his “forever home” at Fairway in 2018 and has never looked back.

For Rene Gonzalez, Branch Manager and Loan Originator at Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation in Freeport, mortgages are more than lending – they are a way to serve and support the community. With over 30 years of experience, vast knowledge of the area, and a love for helping others, Rene provides an exceptional, stress-free client experience. Rene is a quick-thinking problem solver who never views obstacles as threats, only as learning opportunities. His favorite core value is “speed to respond,” as he and his team strive to reply to all clients quickly and efficiently. Upon graduating from The State University of New York at Binghamton in 1990, Rene quickly merged his love for mathematics and his desire to serve others by joining the mortgage industry. Rene, a Long Island native, is licensed in five states – New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Florida. He is in the industry’s top 1% of loan originators and provides many financing options, including reverse mortgages and renovation loans. Rene enjoys riding his motorcycle when he’s not helping clients find the perfect loan product. As the temps begin to fall, you will likely see him hitting the slopes. He loves spending time with his two children and his English Black Lab, Winston. One day, he dreams of riding his motorcycle up the east coast and into Canada and Alaska.
