Our partner RapidAscent has opened a waitlist for their next DoD Skillbridge cohort. The DoD Skillbridge program is a highly competitive paid apprenticeship training program that uses a hands-on virtual job simulator to train students. It is one of several programs RapidAscent is running to address the cyber workforce shortage.

To be eligible for the program, you must be eligible in the Spring of 2023 with the Commander's signed letter of approval and have a strong interest in cybersecurity. No cybersecurity experience, training or certifications are required.

We are proud to share that our partner Catapult Consultants has expanded their and support to a new Department of defense united states customer. This work is critical in securing emerging technology against compromise and adversarial exploitation.

Through a recent contract award, we have expanded our support of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. We provide System Security Engineers, Cyber Engineers and Technology Protection. Our team is proud of the work we are doing to enhance the security of DoD infrastructure and systems.

Introducing Riphean Investments Advisory Board Chair, Brittany Chiang, PMP. Brittany is the CEO of Flatter, Inc. and brings over a decade of experience in the DoD, DHS and DOS to our Advisory Board. Throughout her career, she has served in roles ranging from IT Manager to CFO. Brittany is also active in local nonprofits, including at the Rappahannock United Way where she serves on the Board and is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force.

As Chair of our Advisory Board, Brittany leads strategic discussions, advises our leadership on future initiatives and introduces prospective investors and portfolio companies to the firm. We are proud to have such an experienced industry leader as an Advisor!

TechCrunch reported last month that Forward Networks has raised $50M in their latest funding round, bringing their total funding up to $116M to date. The firm has developed a digital twin modeling software that creates virtual representations of existing systems and allows engineers to assess networks for potential malfunctions and threats.

Digital twin technology is being developed and deployed across a wide range of industries, including IoT, critical infrastructure, healthcare and cyber readiness. Our partner Animate Cyber has created a tool that emulates employees, background traffic and malicious actors to enliven cyber training exercises. It is currently being deployed by multiple large integrators to help create realistic training environments and better prepare against cyber attacks.

TechCrunch reports that Forward Networks, a startup that has created digital twin modeling software for enterprise networks, AI projects, and other complex architectures, has raised $50 million in a funding round.

Our partner RapidAscent is hosting Lockheed Martin's Skillbridge Hiring and Mentoring virtual event next Wednesday, February 22nd. This event and partnership with Lockheed Martin is one of several initiatives that RapidAscent is involved in to provide cybersecurity training to transitioning veterans and decrease the cyber workforce skills gap.

This event is open to all current and former service members and those that are planning on utilizing the DoD Skillbridge program in their last 180 days of service, will be transitioning from the military this year, and want to work in the DoD space.
