Hey, AFR! My name is Cierra Collins, and I represent Southwest Oklahoma! I am a senior at Frederick High School, where I serve as the president of our FFA chapter. I enjoy being involved in many different FFA activities, but the ones I am most passionate about are public speaking, quiz bowl, meat judging, and raising and showing cattle. As a fifth-generation cattle producer, agriculture has always been the foundation of my family’s life and continues to pave the road ahead of me. I am blessed to have been working with and showing cattle alongside my parents and two younger sisters for the past thirteen years. I have a Supervised Agricultural Experience of Beef Entrepreneurship, where I run a herd of registered Hereford cattle and help with the many operations of our ranch.
While I’ve had an incredible journey through FFA, it all began with AFR. Since 7th grade, through the Leadership Summit, speech contests, and even the occasional poster contest, AFR has played a fundamental role in helping me grow as a person and discover what I love. Because of my family’s long-standing affiliation with AFR, I have always had a deep admiration for how they support the agriculture industry. There aren’t words to adequately express how grateful I am to have been selected for the AFR Youth Advisory Council. My goal is to lead with a team mindset, help provide the opportunities that were given to me, and encourage AFR youth to grow as leaders and as people. Thank you all for this opportunity—I’m beyond excited for the year ahead of us!
