As we get ready to ring in the New Year, I am blessed with a job to help people and it brings alot of pleasure being able to help sometimes helpless people navigate their healthcare.
Just ended one of my favorite calls of the year and it did not result in a sale, commission or even a new client. What the call did do is remind me that there are selfless people in our military that defend our freedoms everyday and veterans that has served and those that have fallen for us to celebrate a new year.
Just spoke with a veteran on both Medicare and social security disability and also has their VA coverages and veteran benefits. Here is a man that i told about a plan available to him for $0 cost. It would give him more dental, vision, hearing benefits. He would also get a large amount of his Medicare costs he pays the government monthly back to him in an instant credit to his account. A free gym membership and an OTC card to buy non prescription items loaded with funds every quarter. It’s a no brainer to add these benefits because it gives him a lot more and actually saves him money every month.
His response. “No thank you sir. You should go try and find someone else who needs those benefits and help them out. I am blessed with the care i already receive and I would be taking benefits I do not need and someone else really needs them!”
This is from a man that does deserve more, because he sacrificed for us all.
