Don’t need trees for your home, but want to grow Nashville’s canopy this year? You can also apply for 10 or more new trees at your office, HOA, place of worship, or other community space through the community reforestation program.

Each tree contributes to the Root Nashville campaign’s goal of planting 500,000 trees in Davidson County by 2050.

I'd be honored if you’d join me in making a gift to The Mary Parrish Center to celebrate my birthday! This economy is rough for many, so if contributing financially isn't possible, please share this post. Raising awareness is *just* as valuable to the critical mission of The Mary Parrish Center, which provides a full array of no-cost, comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

Born out of a need identified by advocates in the community, The Mary Parrish Center spent its first 7 years assisting survivors with the Order of Protection process and providing support for their next steps.

In 2009, after years of frustration with helping survivors secure safe, affordable housing, The Mary Parrish Center developed its own program to provide transitional housing. In addition to safe, individual apartments, the Transitional Housing Program provides a wide range of flexible and optional support services including medical care, clinical therapy, emergency financial assistance, housing advocacy and case management.

The survivor-focused program enhances residents’ autonomy by nurturing their capacity to live independently from their abusers, establish self-sufficiency, and secure permanent housing.

Please join me in raising awareness and funds to support the critical work of The Mary Parrish Center!
