😕I haven’t been posting a lot lately…
To be honest I think it’s been kind of a bummer around here since Topper died. I’ve been down in the dumps and maybe a little lonely, which is surprising because I’ve always said how much I enjoyed being in the office by myself.
But I wasn’t by myself. I had a constant companion who slept, snored, and often passed gas (usually when I had client in the office) in a bed right next to my desk everyday. Topper didn’t say anything, but he was a presence. A quiet little friend to keep me company and got me out of the office at least once a day when we went for our regular walk around the square. A presence I didn’t know I needed until he was gone. 🥺
But then something amazing happened. God made sure my business was thriving and that I was so overwhelmed with work, I’d be forced to hire help. And I say forced because I DID NOT want to hire someone. I was set in my little office routine and didn’t want to bring anyone in who could mess it all up.
I begrudgingly started interviewing. I got through a few…they were good, but just not the right fit. Then came Alexis.
Alexis nailed the interview and turns out she can charm the socks off just about anyone. Even a reluctant business owner, who just lost her dog and didn’t want to hire anyone anyway. 😑
But dang it she’s warm, friendly, AND smart. How could I not??
She has a huge heart and I’ve heard her respond with an “Aw…” on several occasions when she thought something was sweet or really sad. She feels for people and is the perfect addition to the agency.
Plus, I already kinda can’t imagine the office without her. We’ve hit it off and I’m learning more that I like about her everyday. She also makes me laugh and usually isn’t trying to. 🤭
So now Lauren Roberts Shelter Insurance is an agency of 2. A corporate giant! 😆
Please drop by and meet Alexis in person… there could be a little prize in it for anyone who makes a point to do so 😏.
She’s here Mon, Wed, and Friday and is training to provide the same excellent customer service you’ve come to expect here.
And thank you to all those who helped me grow. I couldn’t have made it to this point without you.
🇺🇸Happy 4th of July! God Bless America!
And Alexis… 😊
