Farmfest 2026 was a great one!

We had a great time catching up with customers, meeting new faces, and enjoying plenty of good conversations throughout the week.

And a big thank you to everyone who stopped by the Farmers Union Insurance Agency booth and submitted a photo for our giveaway! Congratulations to Briana Mumme, our giveaway winner!

Meet Maiya!

As a Customer Service Representative and Licensed Insurance Agent, Maiya enjoys building relationships with clients and seeing familiar faces in the community. Insurance has been part of her life for years, with both her grandpa and great-grandpa serving as insurance agents. That family legacy inspired her own career in helping people protect what matters most.

Whether she's answering questions or helping clients find the right coverage, Maiya is committed to making the insurance process friendly, approachable, and easy to understand.

Outside the office, Maiya stays busy with her husband, Dustin, and their two children. She also enjoys cooking, gardening, canning, making air freshies, and taking motorcycle rides with her husband. Fun fact: she's also a college-trained certified welder!

Harvest season brings long days, busy equipment, and plenty of activity around the farm. It’s also an important time to slow down and keep safety top of mind, especially when kids are nearby.

Teaching kids where they can safely play, what areas are off-limits, how to stay visible, and why equipment, livestock, grain bins, and chemicals should be respected can help build confidence and awareness early on.

Originally from Minnesota, Shylyn brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine passion for helping others to everything she does. Whether she's answering questions or helping clients with their insurance needs, she's always ready to lend a hand.

Outside the office, Shylyn enjoys spending time outdoors. You'll often find her on the golf course, hiking with her dogs, or making memories with her husband, Josh.

We had a great time being part of Wanda's 125th celebration with the Harmoning Agency truck and trailer in the parade.

Always good to see a community come together like that. Familiar faces, good energy, and a lot of hometown pride.

It's fair week!

We're proud to sponsor the Renville County Fair and even more proud to call this area home.

There is something special about a hometown fair. It's catching up with people you haven't seen in a while, watching the kids run from one thing to the next, supporting local exhibitors and businesses, and enjoying a few days together as a community.
