What should you look for during the final walk-through before closing on a home?
The final walk-through is one of the last steps before becoming a homeowner. It isn’t another home inspection. It’s your opportunity to confirm that the property is in substantially the same condition as when you went under contract and that agreed-upon items have been addressed.
Before closing, buyers should:
• Confirm agreed repairs and concessions were completed
• Check the home for any new damage or significant changes
• Verify appliances, fixtures, and other items included in the sale remain in place
• Look for last-minute issues that could affect the property
• Ask questions about anything that doesn’t look right before signing
The goal is simple: make sure the home you’re about to purchase is the home you agreed to purchase.
One last look before the keys become yours.
