Meet the Team - Hannah Shellnut
Hannah is a native of Paris, TN and moved to Franklin in May of 2017. She graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a minor in Psychology. Hannah became Director of Marketing for Shellnut Insurance in June of 2018. She enjoys networking and connecting with other business professionals in the community, building meaningful relationships, and supporting local businesses.

Meet the Team - Robin Scruggs
Robin became a member of the Shellnut Insurance team in 2025. She is a native Tennessean who has lived in Brentwood, Smyrna, Chattanooga, and Knoxville. Outside of work, she avidly supports her alma mater, the University of Tennessee. With over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, as both a claims adjuster and an agent, she truly enjoys connecting with clients and reviewing their coverages.

Katie was born and raised in Franklin, TN and attended Battle Ground Academy for elementary, middle, and high school. She attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Health, Education, and Human Sciences. She joined the Shellnut Insurance team in November 2023 and is excited to continue learning about the insurance business and help clients along the way.

Colleen has been with Shellnut Insurance since 1999 and quickly obtained her P&C license after she started with the agency. She loves being able to work with clients and educate them on their insurance needs. Colleen is originally from Daytona Beach, Florida, but she has lived in Tennessee for most of her life.

Gavin is a partner at Shellnut Insurance & Associates. He is a Franklin native who attended Battle Ground Academy for middle and high school. In 2017, he graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Marketing degree, and he has been a part of the family business ever since. Gavin’s goal is to provide each client with exceptional service and personalized guidance.

Tyler is a partner at Shellnut Insurance & Associates. He was born and raised in Franklin, where he attended Battle Ground Academy for middle and high school. In 2014, he graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin and decided to jump straight into the family business, where he has been a producer ever since. He loves the opportunity to educate each and every one of his clients!
