Severe storms are predicted throughout the state of Indiana today.

If possible, take a few minutes to help protect your home and car before the storm hits:

1. Unplug sensitive electronics
2. Close all windows and doors
3. Park cars in garage or covered area
4. Bring in outdoor items
5. Monitor local radio and weather stations for updates
6. Have emergency numbers handy

Stay safe!

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who trusted me with their insurance needs over the last year. I was fortunate to qualify for trailblazer for a second year in a row and blessed to meet some great people. I look forward to 2025 and what it holds.

In light of last night’s storm and the fact that we’ll have several more this spring, I wanted to share a thought. A couple weeks ago myself and some other concerned Indiana Farm Bureau agents attended a meeting in Whiteland that was meant to address and discuss concerns several citizens were having with getting claims resolved with their insurance providers. It was eye opening hearing some of the excuses and run around they had been given. The truth is not all insurance/ insurance companies are the same but unfortunately when that is discovered it’s usually too late.

As we enter storm season, ask yourself a few questions.
1. What’s your agent’s name?
2. Has your agent ever requested a meeting to discuss your coverage?
3. Do you trust your agent and company to give you sound advice based on your situation?

If you answer NO to any these it might be time to consider shopping. As you shop consider this as well, there is a difference in best price and best value. Just like anything else, typically the least expensive option means lower quality coverage. I encourage you to consider the value of the above questions and the coverage you are getting when you look at the premium on your quotes.

Last year I was blessed to qualify for my first Trailblazer qualification with Indiana Farm Bureau. Last night Ally and I got to attend the celebration event and it was unbelievable. I’m thankful for her support last year during all the evening appointments and stressful times. It was a bitter sweet deal considering the year we had but reminds me there is always a positive. Thank you to all my clients and families who trusted me. We are looking forward to a great 2024.
