Frankenmuth Credit Union team members Sarah Dunn and Judy Gibbs recently visited USA Early Child Care Center for a fun and interactive financial literacy activity with students.

The pair read How the Moonjar Was Made, a children’s book that teaches young readers the importance of saving, spending, and giving. After story time, each student created and took home their very own “moon jar” — a special three-part piggy bank designed to help kids separate money for all three purposes featured in the book.

To top off the visit, Frankenmuth Credit Union also provided a popcorn snack, making the afternoon both educational and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Meet CU Spark Tank semifinalist Jacob Purman of Frankenmuth Credit Union , representing the Mid Michigan Chapter.

Jacob’s concept, ELIMinate Hunger, explores how credit unions can build a network of community gardens to increase access to fresh, healthy food while strengthening community partnerships and local impact across Michigan.

Frankenmuth Credit Union proudly presented a $1,000 donation to Manna From Heaven on last week, helping support local families in need through their monthly food box distributions.

As part of our commitment to the Chesaning community, FCU pledged to donate $1,000 to a local nonprofit for every 20 new Kasasa Checking accounts opened at our new Chesaning branch. Pictured are FCU Chesaning Branch staff members Amy Handley and Lyndsi Morse, along with Manna From Heaven President Dave Sutton.

Dave shared how thankful he was for the donation and said it would be put to use immediately.

Manna From Heaven provides drive-thru food box distributions one Saturday each month for families in need. The food boxes include fresh produce, meats, pantry items, and more.
