February is the odd one out in the calendar world, and here’s why! 🤯
📆 Blame the Romans! – Our calendar comes from the Romans, and they originally considered winter useless (yep, they didn’t even count it in the calendar). When they finally added January and February, poor February got shortchanged.
📉 The Month That Got Robbed – February used to have 30 days, but Emperor Augustus wanted August (named after him) to have as many days as July (named after Julius Caesar). So, they “borrowed” days from February to make August longer. Thanks, Augustus. 😤
🗓️ The Leap Year Shuffle – To keep the calendar in sync with the Earth’s orbit, February sometimes gets a bonus day every four years—like a glitch in the system. But even then, it’s still the shortest month!
February: the little month with a complicated history! 😂
