On a $5M QSBS gain, three years of holding used to mean $0 excluded. Under the new rules, 50% is now excluded, cutting federal tax to about $795K instead of taxing the full gain.

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act rewrote QSBS in July 2025: partial exclusions at 3 and 4 years, a $15M cap (up from $10M), and a $75M asset threshold (up from $50M) for post-enactment stock.

We're growing across our Private Client Group and Business Development team:

→ Private Client Group: Advisor roles across all levels. CFP® designation preferred, with strong planning experience (5-7 years for the Senior role). You'll own deep client relationships, partner with Business Development, and work alongside our Investment team.

→ Business Development: Business Development Associate to help grow our pipeline, support prospect conversations, and partner closely with our advisors.

The QSBS rules changed on July 4, 2025, and if you hold or plan to hold stock in a small business, the differences matter. Post-OBBBA stock now qualifies for a $15M exclusion cap (up from $10M), a $75M gross assets threshold (up from $50M), and, notably, partial exclusions at 3 and 4 years instead of an all-or-nothing 5-year cliff.

Welcome, Rohit! Rohit is joining Summitry as a Senior Financial Advisor.

Alongside a career built on serving clients well, Rohit brings a few habits that hint at his range. He's ambidextrous, and yes, legible with both hands. He's a runner, most recently pacing the SF Half Marathon. And he's the kind of parent who packs a 3-month-old for a trip across Switzerland (and lives to recommend it).

If you want to talk client work, marathon training, or the logistics of international travel with an infant in tow, Rohit is the one to find. So glad to have you on the team, Rohit!
