It Takes a Village… and I’m So Thankful for Mine

Thanksgiving week always feels a bit quieter in the mortgage world as people shift their focus from buying homes to being with family. And honestly? I welcome the pause. It gives me a moment to reflect.. and wow, do I have a lot to reflect on this year.

This has been one of the most whirlwind seasons of my life. Having a baby at 38 has brought so much change and challenge, but also a new purpose. Motherhood has required more pivots than I ever imagined, and it has stretched me in ways that have surprised me.

What has stood out the most is discovering who my village truly is. People I never expected have shown up - helping with meals, listening through some terrifying newborn moments, donating milk when I struggled with supply, and so much more. The generosity and support have been overwhelming in the best way.

To my village: thank you. I can never repay the kindness you’ve shown over these last eight months.

To my partners and clients: thank you for trusting me with your mortgage needs. By allowing me to serve your family’s financial goals, you’ve helped support and feed my family. It has truly been an honor, and I’m especially grateful for those who stood by me during these post-partum months.

My hope for you this Thanksgiving is that you have a moment of reflection... and that you’ll take the time to tell someone who impacted you this year how grateful you are for them.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. 🧡

Show me the market is too expensive.. show me it’s not possible to buy a home in the DFW and keep your payment under $2,000.

Today we honor freedom, resilience, and progress.

Juneteenth is a powerful reminder of resilience and liberation — marking the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas learned they were free… more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

Juneteenth reminds us how far we’ve come — and how much further we can go together. As a Texan and a believer in generational wealth through homeownership, I’m committed to doing my part to build a more equitable future.

Honoring Juneteenth today — a reminder of strength, progress, and the work still to do. Freedom isn’t just a moment in history — it’s a legacy we’re all shaping, every day.

New headshots for the new me. I’m in my mama era and seeing my why shift.

B.E. (Before Eleanor), my motivation and drive was for security, a balanced life, a passion to serve others. My love language is acts of service and for the past 16 years of doing mortgages, it has been the perfect outlet for me to fill that bucket and serve others.

Now? My why is to be an example for Eleanor. I want her to see that it’s possible to have it all - to have a fulfilling career, be a successful business woman, and be a present mom. I want her to grow up full of ambition and the mindset of ‘I can’ and ‘anything is possible’.

That being said, I’m back to work, ready to serve. I have the best problem solving team around and I can’t wait to share some of the amazing success stories of homeownership made possible by them while I was out on maternity leave.

Who can I help make homeownership possible for today? Reach out. Share my information. We are here to make the impossible possible.

First time homebuyers come to my team feeling scared, overwhelmed and uncertain. Our process was intentionally designed to empower, educate and help make informed decisions. This review is a testament that our process is working as intended. For this client, it meant getting her into a home but it doesn’t always mean that. We had a client just last week who wanted to buy a house but after reviewing the full picture of her finances, the best advice we could give was to hold off on buying for now because her finances weren’t in a position to be setup for success. Honest and transparent advice is what we will always give.
