In 1999 I was a managing general agent for a large company that had no other female managing general agents. At my first managers' meeting, I was excluded, totally. The wives of the men refused even conversation and the men held the forums on the golf course and I do not really know how to play golf. I was not included. My stats and sales blew the doors off of the other's efforts, and I was in that way undeniably in my place until they decided to change that and "change" they did. Though we had to buy $500 worth of company generated leads every week; I never again received what was even a lead. All shrugs and simply frustrations as the people and all- 100%, could only exclaim- "No" they never asked to speak to an agent and got phone calls endlessly to which only answered no to yet could not get the calls to stop until replying "yes", in desperation to talk to someone who could get their lack of need or interest and especially in being harrassed- stopped. I got this stopped! This very same company has placed a vector on my license. I am and will forever be unable to operate with an insurance license until I pay them $8,000. Required, was 2-3 days of out of my home town accommodations to keep these meetings I was forced to meet with and discuss what I was given by this same company to be my "needs an agent to represent the company to possibly accommodate the prospective client's, and fulfil their needs best. And no one had any need or want as well. It has already cost me much much more. I again am licensed and actually scored such a high 90 percentile I was congratulated by the state testing facility; however, I remain unable to get licensed due to this one company's vector ever since 1999. Again I tried.
