Last night, I had so much fun hosting a power of membership dinner for my friends, family, and clients! The Whiskey Cake did a great job of making excellent food and having excellent service (shout out to Jonah and Jonah who were amazing waiters), Brianna Kelley did a great job helping present and coordinate the event, and my assistant, Emilie, did a great job planning and coordinating the event as well!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. I love talking about how Thrivent can help people be more generous with their time, talents, and treasure!

Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your day and give thanks for the blessings in your life.

My heart is so full of joy today!

Because of Thrivent Action Teams, my bible study (BEMA Cowtown!!) was able to come volunteer for the non-profit Rooted Families, Rooted Communities. We used the gift card Thrivent sent us to buy all the food for an event they held last night.

It was such a fun evening of seeing kiddos and their families enjoy tacos while they had their Family Nurture Night!

I love being part of a company where we get to be generous and we are encouraged to live more generously with our time, talent, and treasure!

What is the most important thing you should be doing right now?

- Growing your business?
- Meeting new people?
- Getting your name out there?
- Investing for the future?
- Being a good parent/spouse?

Last week was a pretty tough week for me. Toughest week of 2024. Made me question a lot of things like "Is this really what God has called me to?" "Is it wise to be doing this at this stage in my life?" "Is He really calling us to this season of hard like He did with Jonah?" "What does He really want me to do in my business?"

After a introspective dinner this past Wednesday with a close friend, I realized that I had valued getting answers from God above just being with Him. I was looking for and wanting a "vending machine" instead of a personal relationship.

"'Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law?' Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'

Thought someone needed to hear that today.

What are you thankful for this ?

For me, I'm thankful for my wife. She is always so supporting and always so loving towards me. She never has stopped loving me, even in the midst of conflict.

"In the beginning, God created…"

I don't think that we often see God as a God who is a creator. But this is how the Bible first introduces God. He is a creator. He creates new things as part of his nature. How does He create?. Through His voice. His voice is the method through which He does the primary thing the Bible wants us to know about Him.

How are you creating a space in your life for His voice? How are you creating a space in your life for God to speak things into existence? How are you letting his reality-creating voice change your life?

Another angle is the fact that we are image-bearers of the Almighty. We were created in the image of this Creator. How are you creating? What are you creating? Where do you see yourself being the most creative? This is when you "image" the Ancient of Days.

In Genesis 12, God calls Abram to leave his father's household. God tells Abram "I will make you into a great nation…" How could this be? He was married to Sarai, who was barren and could not have a child. How could someone like that become a great nation?

After God gives His instructions to Abram, it says "So Abram went, as the LORD has told him…". He trusted God. He trusted that God could make a way

God's reality-creating voice is how. He steps in because He knows Abram's character and says "This is someone I can work with". Abram trusts God.

What are you trusting God with? How are you creating? How are you letting God create in your life?

Yesterday, I was incredibly blessed to serve alongside Operation Blessing in their hurricane relief efforts! We prepped stations for people to come today and pack buckets that will help hurricane victims. We also got to write personalized messages on the bucket lids!

Representing Thrivent in such meaningful work was a huge privilege. From connecting with amazing people to even taking a dance break, it was a memorable and impactful time and I had a blast doing it! Big thanks to Estella and the team for the opportunity! Excited for more chances to make a difference in the DFW community!
