πŸ›‘πŸ‘‰ The Beacon State Fund, in partnership with the Governor's Commission for Women, is hosting a pitch competition and will select an awardee for each region of Texas. The women-owned small business pitch competition is made possible by Sempra Energy’s support of the Beacon State Fund.

To qualify for the pitch competition you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

βœ… Your business is at least 51% owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women.
βœ… Your business made $1,000,000 or less in revenue in 2020.
βœ… Your business employed 15 or less in 2020.
βœ… Your business must be registered in the State of Texas.
βœ… Must have operated for more than 12 months.

This Restaurant Revitalization Fund from the U.S. Small Business Administration has been open to receive applications for 1️⃣0️⃣ days!

πŸ›‘πŸ€šπŸ‘‰ For the first 21 days that the program is open, the SBA will prioritize funding applications from businesses owned and controlled by women, veterans and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.

If you know a struggling restaurant, food truck or food service business, you can:

They can then go to our website, tarrantsbdc.org, to begin the process to secure a dedicated Business Advisor to assist them through the process. Or if they feel confident, they can go direct to: restaurants.sba.gov.
