Been having some conversations with colleagues about mentors, and its time to reflect on how blessed I have been to study at the feet of some incredible men.

Many people know Troy Bussmeir as a trusted advisor and business leader. But I know him as much more than that. Not only is he a mentor who has helped us grow our client base, but he also helped me create a business that can take care of those clients the way they need to be. He has been a trusted advisor in business, but his greatest impact on my life has been as a mentor and counselor, providing wisdom and biblical guidance for the matters of the heart and soul.

Any recognition our agency receives today is not ours alone. It is the result of many people investing in us along the way. And I am deeply grateful that God placed a mentor like him in my life.

Insurance Math:

Cheap Insurance ≠ Good Insurance

I've never had someone call me after an accident and say:
"Man, I'm glad I picked the cheapest policy."

There can be a big difference between being insured and being protected.

Thats why I shop the market for people. A win for me is when a person can find coverage at the best price point that actually COVERS them.

Because saving a few dollars today isn't worth finding out you're underinsured tomorrow.

Insurance Mailers are Clickbait

When you get that quoted rate in the mail each month, what you see is a price point designed for you to get on the phone and call them.

They haven’t taken into account YOU.
No check on your history
No check on your credit
No check on your coverage needs.

If 1% of people call the number under the quote, then its a victory for them.
But you will learn really fast that the number on the mailer isn’t the same as the number they will quote you after they learn what your needs actually are.

Not saying don’t give them a call, just don’t fall for the clickbait in your mail box.
