⚠️ SCAM ALERT — PLEASE READ & SHARE
We are receiving multiple reports of a new scam targeting families of individuals in our custody.
Scammers are calling community members and claiming that their relative in the TCSO Jail must pay additional bond fees, ankle monitor fees, or other charges in order to be released. In many cases, the caller even references someone who is currently in our jail or was recently booked, making the scam sound convincing.
🔹 TCSO will NEVER call you to demand payment over the phone.
🔹 We do NOT request money through gift cards, payment apps, wire transfers, or phone transactions.
🔹 All legitimate bond information is handled through the courts and licensed bonding companies, not through unsolicited phone calls.
If you receive a call like this:
• Hang up immediately
• Do not provide personal or financial information
• Call your local police department or, if you live in unincorporated Tarrant County, call us at TCSO Dispatch at 817-884-1213
