Hello everyone! As summer is coming to an end and with most children back to school, I just wanted to wish all the families an incredible and successful school year.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank my team members who help me keep my doors open.
If you have not had the chance to meet them, I would invite you to come into my office to get to know them, they are an incredible group of people and I’m proud to have them on my team.
Blanca is my office manager and has been working for me since 2017. She has a lot of experience with customer service and is very knowledgeable with multiple products we offer such as car insurance, renters' insurance, house insurance and life insurance to name a few.
Suzie is new to my office and has been with us for a little over 4 months. She is licensed in Auto/Fire and Life/Health. She is passionate about helping our community and meeting new people. Come say hi if you are ever in the area.
Jennifer is also new to my office and has been with us for 3 months. She currently holds her Auto and home insurance license and has helped many people with commercial policies as well. She loves to meet new people and our current customers and will always greet you with a smile.
Jeannette has been a part of my office for more than half a year and she handles a lot of our service work. She holds her auto and fire license and is studying for her life and health. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your coverages, give her a call, or anyone on our team, we will take the time to explain your coverages and options to make sure you are covered.
Raudel Jr has returned to my office and has always loved to help our current customers and enjoys meeting and helping new customers. He is licensed in Auto/Fire and Life/Health and is very passionate about explaining all the coverages in creative ways to help you understand what it is you are buying or currently have. He is passionate about Life insurance and wants to help you plan for the unexpected. Come say hi and give him the opportunity to offer one of many products our company offers.
And lastly, we have our newest addition to the team Briana. She has been with us for a couple weeks and has been getting to meet our amazing customers and is already making an impact to our office tremendously. She is licensed in Auto/Fire and Life/health. State Farm® Youth Advisory Board (YAB) service-learning grant applications are available March 1 through May 1. The grants range from $25,000 - $100,000 and are designed to create sustainable change in local communities across the United States. Public K-12, charter, higher education institutions, and non-profit organizations are eligible if they are able to demonstrate how they plan to impact student achievement within the public K-12 curriculum. All applicants must have a youth contact and adult administrator, as the programs must be youth-driven and youth-led.

Each grant request must fall under one of these issue areas, chosen by the board itself:

• Community Safety and Justice
• Environmental Responsibility
• Economic Inclusion and Financial Literacy
• Access to Higher Education
• Health and Wellness
• Arts and Culture

As of August 2014, eight years after the initial launch of the YAB, the board has awarded more than $31.4 million in grants to organizations in the U.S. and Canada and impacted approximately 18.1 million lives.

Bring $25,000 to your community – State Farm Neighborhood Assist® submission phase open from March 9th – March 29th

Have you ever wanted to help your community with a problem but didn’t know where to start? Maybe it’s a run-down park or to help the impoverished in your community. Now, YOU have the power to fix it. State Farm Neighborhood Assist wants to help identify and address key issues faced by consumers throughout the United States.

State Farm Neighborhood Assist, a crowd-sourced philanthropic initiative, lets communities determine where grant funding is awarded, exclusively through Facebook. The application is short and simple, and I encourage you to learn more by visiting www.statefarm.com/NeighborhoodAssist or by watching this short video. You, or someone you know, could be the catalyst for positive change to your community cause!

The submission phase is open from March 9th – March 29th and each Facebook user who downloads the free application can submit up to three causes. Anyone in the United States with a Facebook account is eligible to submit a cause. It’s better to submit early - a maximum of 4,000 submissions will be accepted. All you have to do is submit the cause; you don’t have to “run the program.” The cause must fit into the categories of safety, community development, or education.

After the submission stage ends, the State Farm Youth Advisory Board (YAB), a group of college and high school students from across the country, will read and narrow down all the submissions to the top 200 finalists. What the YAB is looking for:

• How much does your “Cause” focus on an unmet need in this community?
• Why do you feel the $25,000 would address the unmet need?
• How much of a lasting impact on this community would the proposal have?

Once the top 200 causes are identified, they will appear on the Facebook application to be voted on by you and your community. The voting stage will last from May 14 – June 3 and each Facebook user gets 10 votes every day. The top 40 vote-getting causes will be announced on June 16 and each will receive a $25,000 grant.
