A great advantage of trusts is their ability to provide benefits for beneficiaries today as well as future generations of beneficiaries. Designed to operate continuously, having a trust’s routine, ongoing administration grind to a halt upon a vacancy in the role of trustee can create outsized impacts. Beneficiaries may not receive distributions, investments may stagnate, or worse, taxes or insurance premiums go unpaid.

The people putting trusts in place never expect these events to occur. They want their trust to fulfill their long-term goals. They envision a smooth, functioning, consistent handling of these tasks, obligations, and responsibilities, whether they are large or small.

The decision on the role of trustee and their ability to provide consistent leadership for multiple generations is a major factor in the trust’s successfully accomplishing their intended goals.

Lone Oak Trust Company is excited to introduce our Intern, Noel Villalobos! Noel is from Fort Worth, Texas and is currently a rising senior at Texas Christian University, where he is majoring in Finance with a minor in Psychology. He plans to attend law school after graduation.

Noel shared, “I’m looking forward to diving into the finance world and contributing to a team that’s growing so quickly. I’m especially excited to be part of a rising firm right here in my hometown, which makes the opportunity even more special.”

Elizabeth joins Lone Oak Trust Company as a Fiduciary Officer based in Houston, marking an exciting step as we continue to grow our presence. A licensed attorney, she brings extensive experience advising individuals, family businesses, and global corporations, along with a strong background in client service, strategic planning, and trust and estate matters.

She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Sewanee: The University of the South and her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center. She is also a member of the Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the Texas Bar Association.

Elizabeth lives in Houston with her husband and daughter and is actively involved in her community, serving on the Board of the Gulf Coast Literary Journal and supporting local schools and arts organizations.
