SBA Disaster Assistance in Response to the Coronavirus
The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering designated states and territories low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Upon a request received from a state’s or territory’s Governor, SBA will issue under its own authority, as provided by the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act that was recently signed by the President, an Economic Injury Disaster Loan declaration.

The SBA provides low-interest disaster loans to help businesses and homeowners recover from declared disasters.

Tune in through Facebook Live at the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce page at 2:00 today to learn more about support for small businesses as it relates to COVID-19. The person speaking will be Kemmiko (Kem) Grant; she is a Small Business Development Center Business Advisor. Kemm was the Loan Officer and Field Representative in the SBA Disaster Division with hurricane Michael and hurricane Harvey and has a wealth of information regarding SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans. The SBDC is part of the Fort Worth Business Assistance Center .
