Realtors’ settlement could dramatically change cost of housing sales!! The rule changes have the strong potential to lower fees paid by sellers in home sales — and may even bring down home prices overall — by aligning fees closer to the true value of services from real estate agents, according to consumer advocates, academics and lawyers involved in the cases.

The proposed deal with the National Association of Realtors would upend the rules that critics say help inflate commissions for home sellers.
