It was a bittersweet day at Express Ranches in Yukon, Oklahoma as the 2026 Grass Time Sale was held - the first of the four remaining sales since the announcement of the dispersion of this breed leading program. An impressive set of breeding age bulls, by the program’s top sires, led off the sale, followed by a strong set of young pairs and top bred heifers. One of the largest Grass Time Sales resulted in the highest grossing spring sale, with 514 head grossing $3,917,500. The 118 bulls averaged $10,722; 296 registered females averaged $7,436; and 100 commercial bred heifers averaged $4,513. The high selling bull was an AMBITIOUS son out of a Y69 daughter; Lot # 18, EXAR AMBITIOUS 5697B, with a strong balance of economically important genomic traits, sold for $23,000. The high selling female also sold for $23,000 - a 2023 daughter of BLUE CHIP out of the SANDY cow family; one of the top females remaining from the long standing, elite show program. A large crowd gathered on a cool Saturday in Lavaca, Arkansas for the 2026 Pathway to Opportunity Production Sale at Belle Point Angus Ranch. Th offering featured a strong set of young females from some of the top donors in this long standing program. Demand for the offering was excellent as 55 lots grossed $824,400 to average $14,989. Two females in the offering sold for $50,000 each to top the sale. The first was one of the elite P&G prospects to sell this spring; Lot # 17, BELLE SARAS DREAM 9343 J255, sired by GRID MAKER had breed leading growth, marbling and $C genomics to compliment its exceptional phenotype. The second was a calving ease daughter of TRUE BALANCE, with strong carcass and $C genomics, Lot # 6A, BELLE CEARY B343 I35. Leading Angus breeders from across the country enjoyed an abundance of hospitality and an excellent set of females from the heart of AAA Farms’ program as they gathered in Lavinia, Tennessee for their Third Annual Production Sale. Demand for the offering was excellent as 51 lots grossed $1,631,500 to average $31,990 in a fast paced active auction. Two flush sisters out of the elite donor LUCY 8119 and DRAFT PICK led off the sale; and, the winning bidders selected Lot # 13A, AAA LUCY 5503, with breed leading calving genomics, strong carcass traits and a powerful phenotype, for $160,000. Another powerful female in the offering was the high growth, fall yearling daughter of GETTYSBURG, with an excellent genomic profile; one-half interest in Lot # 6, BELLE HYLITE 2678 L174 sold for $140,000. It was a beautiful, summer like day in Lynnville, Tennessee when Ingram Angus held its 2026 Spring Production Sale. A large crowd of regional commercial cattlemen and Angus breeders was on hand to evaluate the impressive female offering combining strong phenotype and maternal traits, along with other top genomics scattered throughout the offering. In a strong, fast paced auction 65 female lots grossed $1,216,750 to average $18,719. In addition, 40 units of semen from two of the top Ingram herd sires sold as 20 lots for $21,000, bringing the sale gross to $1,237,750.
The high selling female was a deep bodied, sound fall yearling daughter of BELOW ZERO with breed leading calving ease genomics; Lot # 2, INGRAM DONNA 4697 sold for $85,000. The Lot # 9 two year old daughter of GLACIER, COLEMAN DONNA 4227 was cataloged to sell a flush and led off the sale; due to the interest in the sharp fronted, deep sided female, one-half embryo interest was added to the sale as Lot # 9X and sold for $75,000, while the cataloged flush of the female sold for $20,000. One of the largest crowds to attend the Spring Production Sale at Gardiner Angus Ranch gathered early on a bright but cool Saturday morning in Ashland, Kansas for the 47th annual sale. The offering featured breed leading genomics in a powerful and sound set of breeding age bulls and females. Demand was exceptional for the feature lots as well as the other cattle throughout the sale, as the auction was active and fast paced throughout the day. The 339 bulls that lead off the sale, grossed $7,223,500 to average $18,104; there were 225 registered females that grossed $2,982,000 to average $13,258; and 150 commercial bred heifers grossed $1,010,250 to average $6,735. At the end of the day, 639 total lots grossed $11,216,750 to average $14,492. One of the talked about bulls of the spring was featured in the sale. The HOME RUN son featured as Lot # 1, G A R GRAND SLAM, had the same elite combination of exceptional phenotype and genomics as its dam, SUNBEAM 332, which had already produced the $370,000 high selling bull in the January 2026, Early Bird Sale. It would be difficult to imagine a more ideal genomic profile than GRAND SLAM possesses. One-half semen interest in the bull sold for $800,000, making it the highest valued bull ever produced in this elite herd sire producing program. The high selling female was an exceptional bred heifer sired by STAPLETON and carrying a bull calf by the high selling bull. Lot # 547, G A R STAPLETON 234, with a balanced and impressive genomic profile sold for $320,000.Congratulations to Mark and Greg Gardiner, as well as the entire Gardiner family actively involved in this excellent program on a record setting sale.

For the first year, the Conley Cattle, Annual Spring Production Sale combined the bulls, which had been sold ahead of the production sale in prior years, with the elite set of show prospects and bred heifers. The sale, held at the ranch in Sulphur, Oklahoma, for the first time drew a large crowd of commercial cattlemen, Angus breeders and show heifer enthusiasts. The well presented set of cattle were in strong demand as 35 bulls averaged $20,761; 61 open heifers, including 31 show prospects, averaged $12,447; and 16 bred heifers averaged $6,993. The 119 total lost sold, including semen and embryos, grossed $1,741,140 for an overall average of $14,631. One of the elite herd sire prospects ever produced in the program was featured as Lot # 33, CONLEY POWER PLAY 4136,; one-half interest in the son of RANSOM, with excellent depth of rib, muscling and bone structure in a sharp featured type, sold for $400,000. An October daughter of A 1, with an abundance of shape and style, led off the show heifer division; Lot # 101, CONLEY DT SANDY 5043 sold for $160,000. The sale barn was packed with show heifer enthusiasts on Saturday afternoon in Madill, Oklahoma for the 30th Annual Spring Edition Sale at Buck Cattle Company. The multi breed offering had elite show heifer prospects in each breed; and, demand for the offering was excellent as 8 Angus heifers averaged $13,450; 33 Hereford heifers averaged $16,227; and, 29 Maine Anjou or percentage Maine heifers averaged $13,914. In total, the 70 individual open heifer calves grossed $1,046,600 to average $14,951.A big bodied, heavy b***d, but sharp featured Hereford heifer by THE PROFIT topped the sale; Lot # 61, BK CMCC NIGHT PROWLER 5061N sold for $90,000. A second young but popular Hereford heifer by RED RIVER was Lot # 45 BK NEW TREASURE 5045N; the sharp fronted individual with and abundance of shape and muscle sold for $49,000. A large crowd of commercial cattlemen and purebred breeders were in Desdemona, Texas for the GKB Cattle & Barber Ranch, Spring Bull Sale. The offering featured a sound set of well conditioned, working age bulls in both breeds offered. Demand for the bulls was excellent as 81 Hereford bulls averaged $11,398, and 17 Angus bulls averaged $14,618. The 98 total bulls offered grossed $1,161,750 to average $11,956. The high selling bull was a powerful, dark red son of TRADE MARK and a member of the Barber Ranch, Reserve Grand Champion Pen of Bulls at the 2026, National Western; Lot # 1, BR GKB UNLIMITED DATA 4306 sold for $50,000. A second member of that same pen of bulls was Lot # 3, BR GKB RARE AIR 4327; the stout son of RARE AIR, out of the elite donor TERRI 2342, sold for $40,000. It did not feel like Spring in Nevada, Missouri as single digit temperatures on a crisp but bright morning greeted the cattlemen attending the Hinkle Prime Cut Angus, Spring Production Sale. The offering featured an excellent set of bulls and females, with breed leading genomics. In a fast paced auction, 124 bulls grossed $1,682,000 to average $13,565; and, 62 females grossed $850,000 to average $13,710. The record setting spring sale at H P C A grossed $2,532,000. The high selling female was one of the talked about females of the spring sale season, Lot # 143, H P C A RITA N305, is the highest $C daughter of AMBITIOUS within the breed. The heifer with double digit CED, and exceptional growth, complimented by excellent carcass genomics, had a +473 $C at the time of cataloging; and sold for $210,000. The high selling bull was a powerful son of VERACIOUS out of one of the elite females ever produced in the program; Lot # 2, H P C A VERACIOUS A734, with excellent growth spread and carcass genomics sold for $40,000. On Saturday, a large crowd of Kentucky cattlemen and purebred breeders filled the barn in Mays Lick, Kentucky for the Boyd Beef Cattle, Maternal Matters Bull Sale. The sale offering featured a strong set of Angus and Hereford bulls, with herd sire prospects featured in both offerings. Demand for the bulls was strong as 68 Angus bulls grossed $938,500 to average $13,801, and 23 Hereford bulls averaged $9,141. The 91 total bulls grossed $1,148,750 to average $12,623. The Angus bulls were led off by one of the top yearling Angus bulls to sell this spring, which has already been leased to a major bull stud. One-half interest in Lot # 1, BOYD GALAXY 5012 sired by NORTH STAR, with exceptional phenotype, combined with breed leading calving ease and growth spread, sold for $255,000. A second powerful Angus bull, this one sired by BEDROCK, with excellent calving ease and growth, was Lot # 2, BOYD LIMESTONE 5015, which sold for $30,000. Congratulations to the Charlie Boyd family, as well as the Joe Myers and Andrew Matheny families on an excellent sale.
