What an honor to be featured in The Dallas Weekly. Thank you Jess Washington for allowing me to share my journey in recognition of women’s history month alongside my colleagues Renee Horne and Annika Cail. Check us out! 💕✨✨

Three women from JPMorgan Chase in Dallas-Fort Worth are leading the way in the banking industry. Renee Horne, Monique Winfree, and Annika Cail shared their journeys and lessons they’ve learned to help others looking to break into business. Horne’s leadership philosophy is rooted in the belief that relationships are essential, while Winfree advises people to utilize platforms like LinkedIn to build their professional brand and connect with potential mentors and sponsors. Cail’s advice for those looking to break into financial services is all about exposure, especially in a world where information is readily available at one’s fingertips.

*Late post*

To wrap up Women’s History month, we kicked off the 2nd annual Girl! Let’s get coffee community event. These ladies came armed and ready to go as we discussed financial health, soft skills development and mental health. I am so thankful for the partnership with Lachelle Goodrich who led an in depth conversation on giving yourself grace to start and live in your purpose. We then heard from Stae Hall on being confident, having courage and being creative when it comes to our roles personally and professionally. NOTHING happens in your comfort zone!

So many nuggets dropped and a great time was had yet again. Thank you to Mia Moss, owner of Black Coffee in for allowing us to occupy your space.

It’s one thing to be passionate about your work in the community but it’s another thing to work for an organization who shares the same vision! Yesterday I traveled to DC and had the pleasure of celebrating the 5 year anniversary of our Advancing Black Pathways program (ABP) Chase. It’s amazing being a part of the work that supports the health, wealth and wellbeing of the underserved communities.

I was honored to be alongside my peers and leaders from community and business development. Job well done we had a great time! Loved hearing from Jamie Dimon and seeing Doug E Fresh perform!✨✨❤️

It was a night to remember, as I stood in front of a crowd of 500 in our community, to receive the Community Leadership Award. What a surprise! The feeling of pride and gratitude overwhelmed me as Michelle Green-Ford, President and CEO of The Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce, presented me with the prestigious accolade. I was deeply moved by her thoughtful words and honored to be recognized for the impact I have been able to make on behalf of Chase.

But what made this moment even more special was the presence of my family and team. As I glanced into the audience, I saw my son, Amiel Shelton, beaming with pride, and my husband, Jabari Winfree, standing by with unwavering support. Their presence filled me with warmth and a renewed sense of purpose.

I couldn't help but reflect on the journey that led me to this stage. I am immensely grateful for the guidance and mentorship of Laura Mathieu and Kazeem Lawal, two remarkable leaders who always pushed me to be my best. Their influence has been instrumental in shaping my career and amplifying my impact in the community.

In this moment, I felt seen and valued. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by such a remarkable community, and I am excited to continue making a difference. Thank you for seeing me✨.
