This property taught me a lesson in real estate:

STAY FLEXIBLE.

The numbers:

- Under contract at $75,000.
- After repair worth around $150,000.
- Needed a lot more work.

We partnered with another investor and assigned it for $99,000.

One thing real estate has taught me:

There isn't just one way to win.

Sometimes you buy and hold.
Sometimes you renovate.
Sometimes you partner with the right person.
Sometimes you move on to the next opportunity.

The beauty is in knowing your options and staying creative.

The best investors aren't attached to one strategy.

Everyone wants "freedom."

A few actually build it.

Time.
Presence.
The people next to you.

That's the goal.

One thing I've learned from real estate & business:

Every day, we show up.

Last month could've been rough.
A real estate deal fell through.
You feel back at zero.

But today?

Today you trust & show up one more time.

The truth is that consistency in business is what differentiates those that succeed, and those that give up on their journey.

I'd rather chose the latter.

This home looked like a simple flip.

On paper:

- 60 days.
- Light rehab.
- Easy in, easy out.

Reality?

Took almost 5 months from start to finish.

More work.
More money.
More time.

But we still made a solid profit.

Why?

We didn’t get lucky…

We bought it right.

That’s something most people overlook.

The deal isn’t made on the exit.

It’s made the moment you buy.

✍🏼 Have you ever had a deal take longer (and cost more) than expected but still work out?

The worst advice for your business lifestyle:

- Always be available.
- Never stop.
- Be the first to arrive, and last to leave.
- Hustle & grind around the clock.

Most people believe that the things above guarantee success.

BUT,

Our peace is worth more than our paychecks.

The key?

• Your quality of life must be your priority.
• Your family should be a guidepost.
• Be intentional with your business money leaks.
• Be present at work and home.

Having success in business means nothing if you have a poor life at home.

Work at both 👈🏽

P.S. wanna hear your opinion ✍🏼 is it life in business or life in general can easily distract us from things that matter most in other areas?

The truth about your "great" accomplishments in real estate:

They’re pointless without remembering the past.

Here's why:

Accomplishments look “easy” in the end.
Remembering is hard.

A “good” accomplishment AND remembering where we came from?

Worth 10x more than a “great” accomplishment AND forgetting the past.

Try this:
1. Look 12 months back.
2. Buy a journal & write 3 things you're grateful for daily.
3. Read your clients reviews.
4. Make new intentions & pursue them.
5. Remember the days you prayed for what you have now.

Having no travel strategy doesn't make sense.

We booked a $1,358 Amsterdam flight for $567

Making memories with my wife.

Visiting Europe for the 1st time.
Traveling with my sister in law and brother in law.
Enjoying my brother in law's birthday.

It's simple.

Optimize your spending with credit cards, AND learn how to maximize your points.

Be intentional with your resources.

BUT,

Don't forget to invest in experiences over things.

p.s. any recommendations for places to visit / coffee spots while in Amsterdam?

Most real estate investors & business owners:

"We're growing so fast we can't keep up."
"We can raise more money."
"Let's acquire more assets."

The truth is:

Growth & more real estate are worth pursuing.
It's what makes us successful in the first place.

BUT,

Your #1 asset is YOU.

Not any investment,
Not your business.

👉 YOU.

We can easily take ourselves for granted.

My encouragement:

Invest in yourself.
Do something that gives you life.
Think beyond just deals.

✍🏼I’d love to hear your thoughts...would you agree that you're your #1 asset?

The 3 biggest lessons I’ve learned in business & real estate:

1. Plenty of people make 6-figures and still feel broke every month.

2. “More deals” aren't always the answer to more money.

3. Most people need a place to keep cash available and productive at the same time.

It's really simple.

Things that just happen when income grows faster than financial structure.

The goal?

Build a place where your business capital stays active instead of doing nothing between opportunities.

♻️ Re-share if you someone could benefit.

"I'll slow down someday."

It's the reality for most people.

BUT freedom is building a life you don’t have to escape from.

Charity and I have become very intentional about that.

We care more about:

- Margin.
- Peace.
- Flexibility.
- Meaningful work.
- And being present with the people we love.

The real truth?

Most investors & business owners secretly want the same thing.

But many feel trapped by the very businesses they built to create freedom in the first place.

More income doesn’t automatically create peace.

Structure matters.
Cashflow matters.
Stewardship matters.

I encourage you to slow down enough to think clearly again.
