Inspired by National Youth Sports Week (NYSW) 2025, we wanted to share 7️⃣ action items that our youth sports coaches can takeaway and apply to create a safer sporting environment for their team.

1. Brush up on signs and symptoms of a concussion with a training course.
2. Ensure all team members have medical clearance (physicals) ideally before the season starts.
3. Set time to properly stretch, warm up and cool down.
4. Promote positive coaching, respect, and teamwork.
5. Consider requiring release of liability waivers.
6. Be prepared at practice and at games with proper medical equipment.
7. Comply with Safe Sport Laws.
