Markets can advance on price alone for a time. More durable trends, however, are generally supported by participation, liquidity, and institutional capital flows.
Price gives testimony. Volume provides the polygraph.
During the presentation, we examined a market that appears to be entering an important period of transition. Price trends remain constructive, participation is beginning to broaden beyond mega cap leadership, and equal weighted stocks, small cap companies, and dividend paying companies are gaining traction.
Yet beneath the headline index strength, institutional volume sponsorship has not always kept pace with price.
The presentation addresses several important questions:
Is broader market participation signaling a healthier advance or merely a temporary rotation?
Are institutions accumulating equities or distributing into market strength?
Where are capital flows strengthening across sectors, market segments, and investment themes?
What can divergences between price and volume reveal about underlying market health?
How can disciplined risk management respond if participation and capital flows begin to deteriorate?
The central conclusion is not that a broad market decline is necessarily ahead. Rather, the evidence suggests that leadership may be changing. In an environment of shifting sector leadership and lower correlations, selectivity may become increasingly important.
The goal is not to predict every market move. It is to evaluate the evidence, follow the flow of institutional capital, and manage risk when that evidence changes.
To see what volume is confirming, what it is contradicting, and what I am monitoring for the remainder of 2026, I invite you to watch the replay.
