WOMEN FARMERS NOMINATION
It is truly an honor to submit this nomination with the agreement of the nominee, Mrs. Theresa Yolanda Brown.
Mrs. Brown and her husband Larry operate Keevy’s Farms, LLC, a small family-owned farm located in Fitzgerald, Georgia. She and her husband have been actively developing the farm over the past several years with the goal of creating a sustainable environment that supports livestock production, greenhouse growth, and responsible land stewardship. They currently raise goats, sheep, and chickens for egg and livestock production while utilizing greenhouse methods to support small scale food growing.
The purpose of Keevy’s Farms is to educate, inspire, and encourage families to reconnect with the land through practical farming methods and responsible stewardship.
Through their journey from city living to homesteading, they strive to demonstrate how resilience, sustainability, and purpose can be cultivated through agriculture.
The name Keevy’s Farms was given in honor of their daughter, Keevy, whose life continues to inspire everything they do. Naming the farm after her serves as a reminder that legacy is built through faith, perseverance, and dedication to the work that the Lord has placed in their hands.
Finally, she and her husband are grateful for the opportunity to steward the land in a way that honors God while encouraging others to pursue agricultural entrepreneurship and sustainable food production.
