Don’t make a big purchase right before closing!

That new car, furniture set, or even a big credit-card purchase can change your debt-to-income ratio or affect your credit profile—and potentially impact your mortgage approval.

My advice?
If you’re buying a home, talk to your lender BEFORE making any major financial moves.

Because “I just bought a couch” should NOT be the reason your closing gets complicated.

Bottom line: do a SOFT credit check yourself, then work on it or fix any errors you see, and don’t have MULTIPLE lenders/creditors pull it.
