I’ve seen a lot of odd situations over the years as an adjuster and agent but this is a new one. Had a customer call to tell me a turkey flew into there house. Didn’t know turkeys could fly up to 60 mph. Would have been a nice one for all the turkey hunters out there. You never know what can happen. 10 years ago today I was hired at Alfa Insurance. It’s been a great 10 years and looking forward to many more.

Alfa is a local Alabama based company with local claims adjusters in every county and great customer and claims service. I encourage people to ask local body shops, roofers and fire/water mitigation companies that deal with insurance claims daily which insurance companies are good on claims and which are not.

Do you have enough life insurance? Or do you have any at all? There are lots of factors that go into deciding if and how much life insurance you need. If the family breadwinners income suddenly stopped how long could bills continue to be paid? How would college be funded? Would the mortgage be paid off?
All of these should be considered when preparing to buy life insurance.

Did you know most Alfa homeowner policies have an endorsement built in called Home Systems Protection. It’s a separate coverage for home appliances like HVAC/Heat Pump system that carries a separate deductible than is on your main dwelling. It has been a great special addition for my customers. Did you know most homeowner policies have special sub limits for jewlery,firearms and personal property used in a business. Most policies are around $2,500 for these items. If you have more than $2,500 in jewlery,firearms or business related items you might not have the best coverage. If you’re wondering how best to cover these items I would be happy to try and help.

Congrats to Sy Powell and Zaria Craig on being players of the month for January. The FPHS Girls play Wednesday in the final 4 against Park Crossing in Birmingham. If they win Wednesday they will play in the finals on Saturday. Good luck girls and hopefully they will bring back a State Championship.
