This morning while I was out walking, I found myself reflecting on life—and how quickly the different phases can change.

Work is a little slower this week with everyone getting back into the school routine. And you know what? I’m choosing to enjoy it. When life is slow, appreciate the quiet. When life is full, appreciate the little moments. Because every season of life changes.

But there’s another side to that thought: **be prepared for the seasons you know will eventually come.**

My husband and I have made the decision to protect ourselves with accident, illness, and life insurance. Not because we expect the worst, but because if our worst day comes, we want to be able to stay focused on what truly matters—each other, our family, and getting through it—without the added worry of how we’re going to pay the bills.
