Many of us came out of this hurricane unscathed, but there are definitely those out there that could be flooded or otherwise unlivable. If that is the case, that person is eligible for a 203(H) FHA mortgage with 100% financing! With no down payment and closing costs from the seller - they can quickly make the move to a new construction home here in the area. Here are the requirements for proving a renter is in this situation:
Prior residence was rented requires:
o Proof of residence in the Disaster Area such as:
▪ Valid driver’s license or
▪ Voter registration or
▪ Utility bills
o Evidence prior residence was destroyed in Disaster Area
▪ Insurance claim or
▪ Inspection report by independent fee inspector or government agency or
▪ Conclusive photographic evidence of the destruction /damage
o Signed/dated letter from landlord confirming destruction and that borrower has been relieved of all future liabilities
