Open enrollment for 2027 Marketplace coverage starts November 1. If you get help paying your premium through HealthCare.gov, the income number you enter matters more than ever.

Starting with 2026 tax returns, there is no longer a limit on paying back extra premium assistance. If your actual income comes in higher than your estimate, you repay the full difference when you file.

Before you renew:

Update your expected 2027 income, including raises, side work, retirement withdrawals, and Social Security
Report household changes like marriage, divorce, a new baby, or a dependent moving out
Keep pay stubs, 1099s, and benefit letters where you can find them if the Marketplace asks for proof
Report income changes during the year so your monthly credit adjusts before tax time

Enrollment on HealthCare.gov runs November 1 through January 15. Not sure what income number to use? Call us before you enroll, not after.

Owning a small business is hard. There are long days, hard decisions, and plenty of moments when you wonder what you got yourself into.

But working with good people makes it so much easier — and moments like this make it incredibly rewarding.

These beautiful flowers came from an appreciative client today, and I can’t think of a better reminder of why I love what I do.

There’s a special kind of satisfaction that comes from building your own business, doing work you’re proud of, and knowing you made someone’s life a little easier.
