You will see two helpful posts below this one in my feed. One is for those who are Medicare Clients and the other is for Markeplace clients.
I am partnered with Alpine and they are how I am able to provide South Carolina, Blue Cross, and Blue Shield to you.

Recently, Alpine has opened an office location here in the Fort Mill area, which allows me the opportunity to work even closer with them than I have been before. This is great news for all my existing clients as well as anyone in this area who needs assistance with finding the right type of coverage to fulfill your needs.

As always, I will remain your local contact. Nothing changes there, but I believe Alpine taking the initiative and moving into this area, demonstrates their passion and caring for all their agents, but more importantly YOU as our clients.

📬 Keep an eye on your mailbox this September! If you have a Medicare Advantage or Part D prescription drug plan, you should be receiving your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) letter by September 30th. This letter explains what's changing with your plan starting January 1st — things like your premium, deductible, drug coverage, which doctors or pharmacies are in network, and how benefit coverage is changing.

It's easy to set this letter aside, but taking a few minutes to read through it can save you from surprises come the new year. And if something in your ANOC catches your attention, remember that Medicare's Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 15th through December 7th, giving you time to compare plans and make a change if you need to.

Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum. On the Health Insurance Marketplace, metal tiers have nothing to do with quality of care. Every plan, no matter the tier, covers the same 10 essential health benefits, things like hospitalization, prescription drugs, maternity care, and mental health services. The tiers are really about one thing: how you and your plan split the cost.

Here's how that split generally breaks down:

💲Bronze: the plan pays about 60%, you pay about 40%. Lower premiums, higher deductibles.
💲Silver: the plan pays about 70%, you pay about 30%. A middle ground on both.
💲Gold: the plan pays about 80%, you pay about 20%. Higher premiums, lower costs at the doctor.
💲Platinum: the plan pays about 90%, you pay about 10%. The highest premiums, the lowest costs when you need care.

Silver deserves a deeper look, because it's the only tier where you can access cost-sharing reductions if you qualify based on income. Those savings can push a Silver plan's cost coverage as high as 96%, all while keeping a Silver level premium.

Mark your calendar 🗓️ Marketplace Open enrollment 2027 is right around the corner.

Marketplace Open Enrollment
Nov 1, 2026 – Jan 15, 2027

Enroll by Dec 15 if you want coverage beginning Jan 1, 2027. Miss a deadline? Special Enrollment may apply after qualifying life events, and Medicaid/CHIP is year-round.

Important: Current clients and those new to the Marketplace that will be using our services or the services of another agent, it is highly recommended that you update your application,authorization and consent forms prior to October 12th as there are going to be new security protocols put in place. We will be emailing and calling all clients by September 15th so there is nothing for you to do now. Doing this step will save us both a lot of time and ensure a smooth enrollment for you this year.
