This video hits close to home 🥹 I’m raising kids while also watching my parents get older.

So when I talk about the “sandwich generation,” I’m not talking about some financial term I learned for work. I’m living it.

There are a lot of us in this stage of life. We’re raising families, working, saving for our own futures, and starting to think more seriously about what happens as our parents need more help.

And there’s one question I think more of us need to ask:
"If my parents need care someday, what’s the plan?"

Because if there isn’t one, those responsibilities often fall to the family.

That’s why I wanted to share this video. It explains the sandwich generation problem, why long-term care planning matters, and some of the options worth learning about while you’re still young and healthy enough to plan ahead.

Many families are not careless with money. They are simply overwhelmed.

There are bills to pay, children to care for, careers to manage, and unexpected expenses that never seem to wait for a convenient time.

When everything feels urgent, planning for the future can keep getting pushed aside.

That is why I believe financial conversations should create clarity, not shame.

You do not need to have everything figured out before asking questions. You only need to be willing to begin.

One conversation can help fear feel smaller and the next step feel possible.

This July, I am encouraging families to declare financial independence from confusion, fear, and “someday.”

Money can feel overwhelming when you are unsure where to begin or worried about making the wrong decision.

But you do not need more pressure.

You need clarity.

You deserve a place where you can ask questions, understand what you already have, and take one step forward without feeling judged or rushed.

Financial independence does not begin with having everything figured out.

It begins with one honest conversation.
