π¨ FLORIDA PRISON RELEASEE REOFFENDER (PRR) β KNOW THE LAW! π¨
Getting released from prison doesnβt always mean your exposure to serious prison time is behind you.
Floridaβs Prison Releasee Reoffender law β F.S. Β§ 775.082(9) can impose mandatory prison sentences on qualifying offenders who commit certain serious felonies within the statutory period after release from a state correctional facility.
βοΈ PRR can apply to serious offenses such as murder, manslaughter, sexual battery, robbery, burglary, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, arson, kidnapping and other specifically listed felonies.
When PRR applies, the consequences can be severe: mandatory minimum prison terms and significantly limited sentencing discretion.
The lesson is simple: YOUR FREEDOM IS TOO VALUABLE TO GAMBLE WITH.
