🎪𝗘𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟞 𝗜𝗼𝘄𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗯𝘆 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘂 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸!🎪

It takes hundreds of volunteer hours for Farm Bureau Park to be a fun, exciting place to visit during the fair – and we’re looking for your help.
The 2026 Iowa State Fair is August 13-23. Volunteers are needed for these shifts in Farm Bureau Park:

9 a.m.- 12:15
12:15 – 3:30
3:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Spouses, teenage children, and friends are welcome to volunteer with you. Volunteers receive an Iowa Farm Bureau t-shirt, tickets for admission and parking, and a food coupon to use at an Iowa commodity food stand/tent (beef, pork, turkey, dairy, lamb). Most member volunteers assist in the center tent or the game tent. In the center tent, members receive a free gift and are entered into prize drawings. Scanning membership cards or address labels to verify membership is quick and easy. Volunteers may also need to look up memberships online, sign up new members, and answer questions about Farm Bureau membership. Those working in the game tent distribute prizes and interact with visitors who play an educational game. Volunteers may be asked to help with other Farm Bureau Park activities as needed.

Volunteers need to plan for various weather conditions. We provide shade and water, but Mother Nature can be unpredictable.

Volunteers may need to stand a majority of their shift. Volunteers with young children need to make childcare arrangements during their assigned shift. Farm Bureau Park is often a busy location with thousands of fair-goers visiting each year, so children need supervision.

Please consider volunteering – it is truly fun and rewarding to meet other Farm Bureau members and to visit with fair goers who may never have stepped foot on a farm or talked with a farmer. If interested, request the necessary form, and return it. Time slots will be filled on a first request, first-served basis. T-shirts, tickets, work schedules, and more detailed information will be sent to you in
early August.
