📬 **Did a New Medicare Card Show Up in Your Mailbox?**

Don't panic—but don't ignore it either.

Some Medicare beneficiaries may receive a replacement Medicare card if their Medicare number has changed. If that happens, here's what you should know👇🏼

Your new Medicare card should:
• Be printed on paper (not plastic)
• Include your correct name and Medicare effective dates
• Never require activation
• Never ask you to pay a fee or provide personal information

Before using it, verify it's legitimate by:
✔ Logging into your Medicare.gov account
✔ Calling 1-800-MEDICARE if you have questions

If the card is legitimate:
• Start using the new card on the date provided
• Safely destroy your old card
• Share your new Medicare number with your healthcare providers

Finally, make it a habit to review your Medicare claims or Explanation of Benefits for services you don't recognize. Catching suspicious activity early is one of the best ways to protect yourself from fraud.
