With the increasing popularity of e-bikes, we are receiving many questions if these bikes are covered under a homeowner's policy as personal property. The answer is yes, there are specific classes of e-bikes that are covered under the homeowners policy. Any pedal assist / Pedelec bike are covered under your homeowners policy.

What is not covered? Any version of a 'speed Pedelec' bike where the top speed is approximately 28 mph. These are considered 'motor vehicles' and would need a separate policy to be covered.
