One of our favorite fall traditions is back!

Forreston Mutual was proud to donate ground beef to the Polo Food Pantry again this year, continuing a tradition that's helped stock the shelves for local families for years.❤️ If you know a family who could use a little extra help this fall, the Polo Food Pantry is a great place to start. Follow Polo Lifeline Food & Self Help Project for updates on what they need most.

Proud to support our neighbors, today and always.

🌾 Happy National Farmer's Day! Today we're tipping our hats to the farmers who work sunup to sundown to keep our tables full and our community strong. Whether you're wrapping up harvest or already looking ahead to next season, we see the work you put in - and we're proud to help protect it. Thank you, farmers. Forreston wouldn't be Forreston without you.❤️

This week is Fire Prevention Week, and there's no better time for a quick home safety check.

✔ Test your smoke detectors
✔ Make sure everyone in the house knows two ways out of every room
✔ Keep space heaters and candles a safe distance from anything flammable

🔋 This year, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is focusing on everyday charging habits that help reduce the risk of lithium-ion battery fires. Use the charger that came with your device, and charge on a hard surface, not your bed or couch.

A few minutes now can make all the difference if the unexpected happens.

If you have questions about your homeowners coverage, your local Forreston Mutual agent is just a phone call away. Stay safe out there, neighbors!

Hard to believe school has already been in session for over a month now!📚

Back in August, Forreston Mutual was proud to donate $2,500 to the SSET program, which helps make sure kids across our community (from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade) start the school year with the supplies they need. Backpacks, notebooks, pencils, the everyday basics that make a real difference for a student and their family.

We're grateful for organizations like SSET doing this work day in and day out, and we're proud to be able to pitch in. Here's to a great year, Forreston students! 🎒

Happy first weekend of fall! 🍂There's nothing quite like autumn around Forreston…the harvest coming in, the smell of woodsmoke, neighbors waving from the porch. Whatever your fall looks like this year, we hope it's full of good weather and even better company.

From our Forreston Mutual family to yours - happy fall, y'all!💛

It's National Farm Safety & Health Week, and with harvest underway across the Forreston area, we wanted to share a few reminders that could save more than just time. Swipe through for some quick safety tips for the field - including a look after harvest season too. 🌾

If harvest stress is weighing on you or someone you know, help is free and confidential: call 833-FARM-SOS, Illinois' farm family helpline. Visit https://agr.illinois.gov/assistance/mental-health-assistance-for-farmers.html for more resources.

And if it's been a while since you've reviewed your farm policy, now's a good time to give us a call before things get busy.

Fall is sneaking up on us here in Forreston! 🍂

We rounded up a few easy home checks to knock out before the cooler weather rolls in - the kind of stuff that's easy to put off until it's a problem. A little prep now can save you a real headache later. Save this one for when you're ready to tackle the list! ✔️

To the farmers up before sunrise, the small business owners who never really clock out, and everyone else who keeps this community running - today's for you. We know Labor Day doesn't always mean a day off around here, and we see that. ❤️

Thank you for your hard work, your dedication, and everything you pour into this place we call home.

**Please note our office will be closed for the holiday - we'll be back to normal working hours tomorrow.

Renting out a farmhouse, a house in town, or a spare property?🔑 Landlord insurance is worth a second look. It's built differently than a standard homeowners policy - covering things like liability if a tenant gets hurt on the property, or damage to the structure itself while it's rented out.

If it's been a while since you've reviewed that coverage (or you're not sure what you currently have), give your local Forreston Mutual agent a call. We'll sit down, look at what you've got, and make sure there aren't any gaps. That's what we're here for.
